[ Last Day ]

Last day before we go home, we have made the Scarecrow. Very interesting and it was a new experience for me and I am very excited in making it. However we do it with our friend and here is our scarecrow.

Processing of Scarecrow :

[ The 1 & 2 Nights ]

On the First day night, we have a night walk journey along the paddy field. It is a long journey till the place where we gather. 

Second day night, we have a show of “Kuda Kepang”. The traditional dancing warrior horsemen who came from Java. It’s really unique and what make it different is after dancing, they will invite the natural spirit of the animals into your body. Fear and amaze happen and people seem look carefully and diligently.

 * Actually i dislike these night activities as for me it is not fun and interesting at all. It makes me feel tired and not enjoying the activities.

[ Tasty, Yummy & Delicious Food ]

What is the “Nasi Ambeng”? it is the specialty of Javanese form of white rice that is placed on tampah and given the side dishes around. Based on the picture, it looks very tempting and very unique. Availability of white rice, chicken, tempeh, noodles and otherwise.

Specialty of the “Nasi Ambeng” and make it more tasty is we ate it together in tray. Feel like eating with family member in one tray and we can easily unite and become closer with each other. However it is really “SEDAP”.

[ Day 2 Activities ]

Baking Bahulu and The Pineapple Tarts

The second day is a day more excited because we get to see the real one on how to make “Bahulu” and “Pineapple Tarts”. It is made from our own ethnic Malay. Look easy but it also needs a lot of forbearance.

Processing of "Bahulu" :

  ( we need to prepare the mixture and place it in the batter. Then, bake and there was "Bahulu")

Processing of “Pineapple Tarts” : 

 

 ( take a mix and make it look like a shapes of cup and fill it with the pineapple tart. Then, circle it and cut into the form of pineapple by using a small scissor and there was a “pineapple tarts” )

Processing of "Ubi Kayu Chips" :

 

Very challenging and need a high degree of patience and for me, every single thing we do need patience. Therefore, this is the processing of ubi kayu chips.

 

  ( we need to cut and slice the ubi kayu. Then put the ubi kayu that has been sliced into the machine. Please, be careful when doing it for preventing your hand from being harm and cut. Then, fry until crisp after soaked in turmeric water. Wrap in plastic when it is ready.)

[ Day 1 Activities ]

Making Kite

Although it is really hot and we already sweat, we still cannot wait to get started. Therefore, making kite is the first activities for us and we should learn on how to make a kite by ourselves. Look easy but actually it really need full of patient and inspiration in order to make it look beautiful, unique, creative and complete kite without any broken or damages. 

This is the process of doing it:

 

 

 ( we need to thin the bamboo sticks so that can be curved. After that we need to tie with yarn and glue on a plastic color that allows it to fly properly. )

[ Forever Remember ]

You might think where we staying at Tanjung Karang right? Well, of course there a place where you can stay there and it is at Dorani Homestay. It is a good place and it’s providing so many activities. We might feel interesting as we heard about it. 

But, I will not talk about the activities yet, I will talk about my adoptive parents since I arrival there and I have to stay with them about 3 days and 2 night. I stay with 7 other girl and we each get the best comfort and service by our adoptive parent. They are so nice and so kind. They make me love them very much as I love my family.

[ The Memorable Place ]

What it is about? It is a main fishing and paddy growing town in Selangor. Located in the district of Kuala Selangor about 15 kilometers away from the town of Kuala Selangor. Take about an hour and half if you are coming from Kuala Lumpur.

 

This is the map of going to Tanjung Karang 

It is really a nice and beautiful place that i had ever visited in my life as I can feel the atmosphere of the village. Why i said so? Because I have the opportunity to see paddy fields with my own eyes and it is really amazing as you can feel the peace and harmony environment. You will enjoy it and i am truthfully enjoying myself towards it. "hooray"=)
